PURPOSE
The Henrietta & Clay County Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1927 for the purpose of advancing the economic, industrial, professional, cultural and civic welfare, for the benefit of the citizenship of Henrietta and Clay County Texas. To collect and compile such local and general statistical information as may prove to be of value for the promotion and welfare of the area, and to encourage and aid as far as possible the development of existing, as well as establishment of new business and industries; to facilitate commercial and social interaction between the people of Clay County and surrounding trade territory, and to seek to contribute to the continued progress of Henrietta and Clay County and the welfare of its people.

WHAT WE DO
Your Chamber is a service institution and an action organization. It provides a medium through which people can take effective action for the progress of our community. It works to create job opportunities, expand our tax base, attract tourists and visitors and to improve community facilities such as streets, highways, parks, schools, and human resources.

WHO LEADS YOUR CHAMBER
The Chamber of Commerce is led by its members. They elect a Board of Directors that determines policies and sets goals. The Board consists of 12 members, with an Executive Board of six. The Officers of the Board serve as the Executive Board.

WHO CAN JOIN
Any citizen interested in developing the area is eligible to become a member of the Chamber of Commerce. A membership investment in your Chamber will vary depending on the type of your firm. Investments are paid in advance and on annual basis and may be tax deductible as a business expense. Chamber of Commerce members are volunteer leaders of the community working together to make the community a better place to make a living, and to live.

MEETINGS
We coordinate two types of meetings. Quarterly chamber luncheons include a presentation from a location business or service and are open to the public. The cost of the lunch is $8 per person. Please RSVP to ensure your spot. The board of directors meet at noon on the third Wednesday of each month. The luncheons for 2013 include:

March 25, 2015 – The Rock Building – TBD

June 24, 2015 —  The Holman Center – TBD

October 28, 2015 – The Holman Center – Program: State of The Chamber

We are interested in brochures of Clay County and the surrounding area. We have space for 50 and we would appreciate 4×9 tri-folds if possible.

    Thank you for your assistance.
